Terrace Installation: Ugo Rondinone

Ugo Rondinone’s neon works are among the Swiss artist’s most recognizable and celebrated, acting as vibrant, large-scale linguistic interventions in public and gallery spaces. Since creating his first neon rainbow sculpture in 1997, Rondinone has utilized rainbow-hued text installations to cast optimistic, poetic, and joyous exclamations into everyday environments. FLAG’s reinstallation of Love Invents Us, 1999, serves as a love letter to its neighbors, only viewable from the surrounding streets and buildings of Chelsea.
